NEPAL PROGRAMS:

Education Program for under privilege children.

This program is focused in rural schools to teach children English. After the their training, the volunteers will be sent to the placement area to teach English in local schools. Primarily, volunteers assist local English teachers in instructing conversational English in the school. This program aims to assist schools for their quality teaching by supplying volunteers, conducting school supporting programs. Volunteers enrolling in this program are also expected to share their own teaching methodologies as well as helping the schoolteachers to develop their conversational English skills. Volunteers can teach English to those children who are unable to go to school. Volunteers will teach 2-4 hours a day. The size of the classes ranges from 10-30 students. The age of the school children will be mostly 5 to 16 years old.

This program includes:

Teaching English (or a different subject of your choice) in a local school.

Extra curricular activities (Games, Quiz, Drama & Writing skills)



No teaching experience is necessary but familiarity with English grammar is desirable.


Nepali Culture Program:

This program is targeted to anyone who has a keen interest in Nepali culture. After completion of the intensive Nepali language training, volunteers will stay with a Nepali family in a village: Through participation in village life, volunteers will experience the different local culture, while sharing their own culture and customs.Volunteers will benefit from the cross-cultural experience through this cultural exchange program. The program is suitable for anybody, any family, or any individual groups. There is no age restriction for this program. This is a unique opportunity to experience Nepal with a difference that leaves a lasting impression. The opportunity to stay with multiple families in different regions of Nepal can be arranged as well.

Orphanage Aid Program:

Social work is a big part of working with in an orphanage here – teaching children how to interact with each other and a basic education are what volunteers can expect. Volunteers will be placed in an orphanage nearby thamel, Kathmandu city. Volunteers will stay with the host family or in an orphanage (if available) during their placement time. The age of the orphanage children will be mostly 3 to 16 years old. During the placement time, volunteers will be teaching English, general health education, arts, music, and sports. Volunteers can also assist the children in their homework. Volunteers can also do informal teaching in the orphanage. Limited seats are available in this program.

This program includes:

Teaching English (or a subject of your choice) in a local school.

Help orphaned children in their homework.

Health & sanitation observation, and run an orphanage hygiene program.


AIM Abroad Nepal is solely funded by the volunteers’ program fees. Program Fees are in USD $

$50 One-time registration fee

1 weeks $100

2 weeks $200

$100 each additional week.
